A Little History

Our office was founded by Dr. Milton Jasper in 1936.  Barry Jasper, DDS joined the practice some years later.  They moved into the Slavin Building in downtown Clayton in 1952.  Dr. Michael Edlin joined the practice in 1988 when he graduated from Washington University and eventually bought the practice once the Jaspers retired from Dentistry.  Just recently he added his practice name of Beautiful Smiles, office of Dr. Michael Edlin.

For more than 25 years Dr. Edlin has been serving patients’ dental needs throughout the St. Louis region.   His high standards of excellence and compassion for patients is the reason several local and national celebrities trust him with their restorative, cosmetic, and preventive dental care.   Dr. Edlin and his staff provide the highest quality care for toddlers, teens, and adults with services that include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, invisalign clear braces, and crown and bridgework.

Dr. Michael Edlin

He is married, has two children and is an active member of Give Kids a Smile, making sure everyone has access to quality dental care regardless of their ability to pay.   Dr. Edlin is an avid cyclist and works to raise money for Pedal the Cause.   PTC funds cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children’s Hopsital.   It is the hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer.   Dr. Edlin’s drive to help find a cure is personal.   In 2010 his wife was diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  She is now in remission and together they work tirelessly towards the goal of a world without cancer.
